We are contacting you because your Amazon Managed Grafana (AMG) workspace uses the Snowflake plugin on a workspace running Grafana version 8 or 9.
Due to an underlying issue identified in the Snowflake datasource plugin, we have disabled the Snowflake plugin on all AMG workspaces running Grafana version 8 and 9. The fix for the Snowflake plugin is only available for Grafana 10 and above — no patch will be released for versions 8 or 9. As a result, upgrading your workspace is the only path to maintain Snowflake datasource access.
Steps to upgrade your workspace:
Open the Amazon Managed Grafana console
In the left navigation pane, choose the menu icon.
Choose All workspaces.
Choose the name of the workspace that you want to upgrade.
Choose Upgrade to migrate your workspace to Grafana version 10 or above.
Until your workspace is upgraded to version 10 or above, the Snowflake plugin will be disabled on your workspace. Resources relying on the Snowflake plugin will stop functioning. This includes data sources and alerts.
Information about affected resources is available in the 'Affected resources' section of the Health Dashboard, the 'affectedEntities' field in the EventBridge event details or the 'entities' field in the Health DescribeAffectedEntities API responses.
For more information on upgrading your workspace, please refer to the Amazon Managed Grafana User Guide [1].
