We are contacting you because your AWS Account has one or more Amazon Managed Grafana workspaces running version 8.4. On February 28, 2026, support for Grafana version 8.4 in Amazon Managed Grafana will end.

Starting February 28, 2026, the following changes will take effect:

1. You will no longer be able to create new Amazon Managed Grafana workspaces with Grafana version 8.4.
2. We will no longer provide security patches or bug fixes for workspaces running Grafana version 8.4.
3. All Amazon Managed Grafana workspaces running Grafana version 8.4 will be automatically updated to version 9.4.

We strongly recommend that you upgrade your existing Grafana version 8.4 workspaces to version 9.4 or higher before February 28, 2026. This allows you to plan and perform the upgrade on your schedule. For detailed instructions, see the Amazon Managed Grafana service documentation [1]. Before upgrading, carefully review the breaking changes for version 9.4 in the Grafana documentation [2]. This step is crucial to ensure a smooth transition and maintain your dashboards' functionality.

Your impacted Amazon Managed Grafana workspaces running Grafana version 8.4 are listed on the 'Affected resources' tab of your AWS Health Dashboard. If you have deleted, or already upgraded your Amazon Managed Grafana workspaces running version 8.4, please disregard this message.
