What Do You Need To Do To Receive Recommendations from the Newer Checks? In order to receive the full set of recommendations from these newer Trusted Advisor checks, you will need to: Opt In to Cost Optimization Hub [1]. Opt In to Compute Optimizer [2]. Opting in to Cost Optimization Hub (COH) provides some cost savings recommendations, but full access to all recommendation types requires opting in to both COH and Compute Optimizer. While COH alone offers savings plans and Reserved Instance recommendations, idle and rightsizing recommendations are only available through Compute Optimizer, which analyzes resource usage to provide these additional insights. If you have already opted in to Cost Optimization Hub, you are already receiving recommendations for these new checks. If you have not opted in to Cost Optimization Hub, it will take 24-48 hours for the new recommendations to arrive in your AWS account. For more information, refer to AWS documentation on Cost Optimization Hub and Compute Optimizer [1][2]. For additional information on the legacy and replacement Trusted Advisor checks, refer to AWS documentation on Trusted Advisor checks [3].
